That’s freakin’ awesome!! The trailer reminded me of the Beastie Boy’s Sabotage video somewhat, only wayyyy funnier…

Which one of you lives at PGH? Thanks for the apartment tour- it brings back memories of living there. Your lovely video has been admired by my colleagues here in the Okanagan and there is demand for a reference version, preferably with a “live chat” segment. Take care, Barbara.

I can’t even describe how happy this makes me! Seriously, I think I speak for our entire class when I say the creation of these videos alone was worth the money you all spend on your MLISs.

    Can’t freakin’ wait for more!

What would Michael Gorman say? I want to see the whole movie. Make it something like “Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny” except instead of rock music they dream of making it big in cataloging and break into the Library of Congress or OCLC Headquarters.

Beautiful. I cringed when watching Dr. Latefees rearrange the books. I wonder what other evil he has in store for us.

Your movie was picked up by the American Library Association e-newsletter of 16 January 2008 – looks like you’ve made the ‘big-time’. Thanks for the humour.

Congrats on making “American Libraries”! All your hopes and dreams fulfilled, right?

It is probably an inside joke, but PS872 is American literature–Individual authors–Colonial period (17th and 18th centuries)–Wigglesworth, Michael–Biography and criticism, not petroleum. And yes, I’ve been a cataloger for ten years.

That is so f***-ed up it is unbelievable. Hilarious!!

This was lol funny! The only problem is that I have no one to share it with that would understand it. I’m the only cataloger where I work and the Ref librarian’s eyes glaze over when I start talking MARC or AACR2 or LCSH. My family doesn’t understand what I do. I feel so all alone! It’s so fun that there are others “out there” who have a clue. Thanks for the day brightener.

I laughed, I cried, I wanted to straighten those shelves… I agree with Barbara, we want a Reference sequel!

FLIS (Toronto)’91, and definitely not a cataloguer

The Original Catalogers are back; and this time, it’s Personal!!!

Lovely! I love the concept of the rogue cataloger – cataloging my gut instinct!!

    Would love to see more!
